From 13 July till 13 October an art museum in The Hague held an expo called From Monet to Matisse. I loved the poster so I bought it, and today Wim and I put it on my office door. That wouldn’t be special if the exposition hadn’t been held in 1996, exactly 30 years ago…
Don’t you just love the colours, or is it just me? Picasso painted it in his Blue Period. The Harlequin and His Companion don’t look happy and neither was Picasso when he painted this as a 20-year old. He had recently moved to Paris and was feeling like an outsider.
Autumn reflections

Autumn is upon us and it always makes me feel reflective. This fall I feel predominantly grateful!
What am I writing? I am editing The Luxembourg Saga and planning The Leeuwarden Lovers.
What am I reading? I finished A Siena Love Story, the latest excellent book by Nicky Pellegrino, and am now enjoying a novel by Judy Leigh called Golden Days at the Vintage Volumes Bookshop. I will be blogging about it in a few weeks. Until then!
