The prequel to My Name is Wilma, which I will be publishing as a free ebook is surprising even me as I write the story. It’s funny how your mind works.
The ‘villain’ in Wilma’s Tulip Field Days is the perfectly nice Suzanna who turns into the extremely nasty Stragna Woman. She needs to collect six kittens, she thinks, and not for the nicest of reasons.
Revelation
And these six kittens need to have six different coat colours. Unfortunately for Suzanna there is a shortage in tabby kittens that year. She is desperate to get one for reasons the book will reveal, and thinks that asking her friend Tattoo Rob to put one on her shoulder will help.
This impulsive decision to get a tattoo was a revelation that helped her and ultimately also kitten Wilma. Even in her troubled times Suzanna has the fortune to listen to her inner voice. I am intrigued by revelations. That kind of thing that comes from out of the blue but you know you have to listen to it, even if you don’t know why.
Do nothing

Have you ever had a revelation? As you can read in My Name is Wilma, I had one while knitting on the couch in Featherston. Just doing nothing opened my mind for the answer I didn’t know I was looking for. Looking back it might not have come out of the blue. I wasn’t in the happiest of situations at work, Wim was working towards a burn out in his new role. But at that time everyone was stunned by our decision to go back to the Netherlands, including us. That it all happened so fast is another indication it was meant to be.
We wanted so much, we were aiming so high when all we really needed to do was sit on the couch and knit and then from out of the blue came the answer. It was not a flight, going back to the Netherlands was much harder than moving to new Zealand, especially because we took the opportunity to bring some healthy living balance into our lives. We work a lot less, have a lot less money, but also spend lots less and have more time for our passions.
